A: If your present web hosting provider can no longer answer the demands of your web site, or if you suffer from constant downtime, or if you are made to wait for hours for the client support staff to respond back to you, it might be a clever idea to switch your web hosting provider, i.e. to transfer all the files for your websites as well as your databases from your present provider to your future provider. At Robot Web Hosting, we know that this can be difficult & time–consuming. That is the reason why we will do all that for you at no cost!Our seasoned technical team reps will migrate your site content from your current web hosting provider to us. Our techs have extensive experience migrating websites and are able to take care of anything – from a customary WordPress weblog or Joomla^™ CMS–driven site, to a highly complex, custom–made web app.

A: While we can’t give you a precise ETA, because there are a lot of factors, including the physical size of the web files and databases, the location of the present host’s server, the complexity of your web site and the present workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we will try our best to move your site within 48h, and in some cases – within 24h (if the content is not large).

A: Yup. We’ll need to have the name of the website that you want us to migrate. We will also need a way to log into your present web hosting account so that we can get the content associated with your site.

A: In order for us to start the migration of your account, you must already have an account with us. Opening an account with us will require that you to disclose exactly the same details you have given to your previous web hosting provider. We also have an extremely rigid Privacy Policy, which specifies how delicate info is handled.

A: While we transfer your site, it will be available both in your hosting account with us and in your account with your previous web hosting provider. As soon as the transfer is completed, we’ll make sure that everything is working correctly and that the integrity of your web content is not affected prior to informing you that the migration is completed. Then we will explain to you how to move the domain name over to your hosting account with us and how to modify your DNS resource records.

A: Nah. Aside from your login credentials for the Control Panel, we do not require anything. We’ll never touch base with your hosting provider. They won’t know anything about the migration either.

A: Yup. We support all standard Linux–powered hosting platforms. We don’t support Windows–powered web hosting platforms, as we do not offer Windows hosting solutions ourselves.We also do not support proprietary site building and management user interfaces such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
